Voice Match

I have turned on voice match in my Google Home app. I have told it to allow voice recognition on all devices in my home, and each device shows a check to note that voice recognition is authorized on that device. But when I ask “Who am I” on each of my 2 Home Mini devices, it says that to answer that, it voice match must be activated, and asks for my phone number to activate it. Just for the record, I did give it, and it texted me a link to download the Google Home app. On my Google TV, Google recognizes my voice just fine. In the Home app, the TV appears to have Voice Match activated exactly the same as how the Home Mini devices show that it is activated.

I know that these Mini devices are capable of doing voice match, as it has previously been enable on them. I’ve tried rebooting by unplugging for about 5 minutes and then plugging back in, but the problem remains. I’ve tried turning Voice Match off for each device, and then turning it back on. Not sure what else to try.

It’s not that it doesn’t recognize my voice, it’s that it doesn’t believe that Voice Match has been enabled for the device, but the app where you do that, Google Home, believes absolutely that Voice Match HAS been enabled for each of those devices.
