Recently when I try to use the 'play white noise' feature: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7364558?hl=en, it plays metal music from youtube music every time. I primarily use this speaker to help my son sleep at night and had been enjoying the ambient sounds for a little over a year.
At first I could work around it by asking to 'play white noise for 12 hours' or 'just play white noise', but lately none of these workarounds seem to work anymore.
I provided feedback via the google home app when it first started acting up, but it has only gotten worse since then.

Hey W1zn1z,
Thanks for trying those steps. To confirm, do you have the same issue when using the Google Assistant app on your phone? Also, could you try creating a routine then add the action "Play white noise" to see if you will have the same issue.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hey W1zn1z,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's see what's going on.
A few questions: when did it start happening? Were there any recent changes to your network or set up? Also, what's the exact command you've used and what's the response of your speaker?
Give these steps a try:
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Alex

I tried the steps, but they didn't seem to help. It started a few months back (maybe May?), but we were able to work around the issue by phrasing the command a little differently until about a week and a half ago.
I say "hey google, play white noise" and it responds with "okay, check out this white sound station on youtube music", which appears to be a playlist of various heavy metal songs.

Same issue with the Google assistant app, but was able to create a routine that solved the problem.

Hey W1zn1z,
It's great to hear that it works when you add it to your routine. We'd like to check this out further, what Google Home or Google Nest speakers do you have? Also, could you provide us the cast firmware version of your speaker?
Thanks,
Alex

Hey W1zn1z,
Thanks for the additional information. Could you try playing the relaxing sound below to check if you'll get the same result?
Best,
Alex

All of those play the respective ambient sounds that they correspond to. White noise appears to be the only one with an issue.
