Hi
I have been using my Google Home Hub (Nest Hub 1st Gen) for ambient white noise during the nights for the last few weeks.
It works fine for one night and the next it stops at around 2 to 3am. I have noticed that this happens every other night consistently. It may sound strange, but it wakes me up when it stops!
Any ideas why this is happening and how it can be solved?
Many thanks

Hi
The only solution I found was to reboot the display every day.
Hope this helps someone.

Hey Brookertron,
Thanks for reaching out — let's check this out.
Ambient sounds will continue to play for 12 hours if not turned off. Aside from rebooting it,have you tried resetting your Google Nest Hub?
Best,
Alex

Hi Alex
Thanks for your reply.
I am now using a Hub Gen 2 which does not have the problem.
I think the issue with the older Hub was that it plays for 12 hours even if you stop it in the morning. So, if you run it for 9 hours one night, the next night it will stop after 3 hours (Unless you reboot it to reset the countdown).

Hey Brookertron,
Thanks for updating us. Ambient sound should be able to automatically reset even if you manually stop it in the middle of playing. Could you please provide us the cast firmware version of your older Nest Hub and it software version?
Regards,
Alex
