Wont play mood or playlists

I have two nest audios, 7 nest minis, and a home hub. When i ask the device verbally to play a mood or playlist, the device responds as if searching for the specific words in my request. For instance, if i ask for the speaker to play modern rock, i get a reply that they "looked for modern rock but either that song is not available right now or does not exist".

Restarting or resetting the devices do not help. O have a wifi 6 router and get 400+ mbps so connection doesnt appear to be a problem. I also regularly get a "something went wrong, please try again in a few seconds" reply on speakers when asking for specific songs. If i am specific enough, and try multiple times, I get the song i asked for. It also seems to work better for songs in my library. I have youtube music premium.

I have been losing functionality on my home devices for months, and am pretty fed up. I contacted support once via twitter, and got a reply, but they stopped responding after i included a video of the device issues. Any ideas would be great.

Hey @Nh2 how about adjusting or trying different ways you ask? Try saying "Listen to modern rock radio/station/music." The system may be interpreting play as a request for a specific song, hence the "searching" for a song named "modern rock."

I did try a variety. I have tried "please play modern rock", "please play a modern rock playlist", "please play me morning mood music", "please play me music to cook to", and several other varients. For what it is worth, this appears to be fixed, but wasnt fixed through my actions.

This issue appears to have resolved itself. The speakers had been trying to play items exactly matching the words i was saying (searching for songs titled "music to cook to" or similar). They are now working correctly and playing moods and playlists. Thanks.
