Wrong phone

Let’s try this again. And please don’t close the conversation before I even receive the email that someone responded.

Why did google nest call a phone I never input? I connected my iPhone, received a code text to verify. It’s the only phone I connected. Tried the “Hey Google, Find my phone.” It said it will ring my Galaxy 9. Huh?? Then my husband’s phone rang. Never asked it to connect my husband’s Galaxy 9. It’s his work phone, so I never touch it. And it wasn‘t even here when I connected my iPhone to Google nest. He does not want his phone connected. How do I remove something I never connected and actually connect my iPhone?

Hey there, 

Sorry to hear about the troubles you're having on this as I'm sure it's frustrating, but I'm happy to help. 

 

So when you tell the Assistant to find your phone, it will find the phone that is connected to the Google account that is running the Assistant. If you set your Nest device up using your husband's Google account, that's the phone it will look for. You can call other phones, but the primary phone for "find my phone" will be related to that account. I would suggest reaching out the Google Assistant Forum  for help on this.

Again, my husband’s work phone is not used by me. So I never connected it to Google Nest. He doesn’t even have a Google account.
I used MY phone and MY Google account to set up Google Nest with the Google Home app on MY phone. Why is it finding his phone instead of MY phone?
