Xiaomi 360

I have a Xiaomi Cam 360 and I can not see the live stream on the nest hub. In the Mi Home app works perfectly but in Nest Hub 2gen the image is frozen. I've already installed the app again and paired the cam. Anything I can do?

Thanks

Hi Sandra_pog,

Thanks for reaching out.

Before we start some steps, I'd like to verify a few things-- is your camera completely set up and linked to your Google Nest Hub? Let's make sure to add it on the same Home structure of your Google Nest Hub.

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
  3. Verify that the home listed is the one you want to pair your security camera to. To switch between homes, click the triangle to the right of the home name.
  4. At the top left, tap Add Set up device plus Works with Google.
  5. Choose your camera manufacturer from the list to finish the setup process.

Once it is setup, could you please tell us the exam command that you're using every time that you want to stream the camera? You may also try these commands:

  • "Show [camera name]"
  • "What’s on [camera name]?"
  • "[Camera name] on [Chromecast device name]"
  • "Play [camera name] on [Chromecast device name]"
  • "Show [camera name] on [Chromecast device name]"

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess

Hi Princesss,

Thank you so much for your reply.

The camera is connected to the Google account.

I've tried all these commands and Nest starts streaming the camera, the problem is that the live image does not work. When the stream starts the text "playing smart home camera" appears, but doesn't show any image.

Hi Sandra_pog,

Thanks for the additional details. Have you already tried to reboot your Google Nest display as well as your router? If not, let's try that simply by unplugging the Google Nest display and the router for a few minutes to refresh your device's connection.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess

Hi, I'm sorry I didn't see your messages. I've tried rebooting the two handsets but it still doesn't work 😒

Hey Sandra_pog,

Thanks for the update. Upon further checking, Xiaomi 360 or any Mi camera is not supported to stream on the Nest Hub. Please visit this link for the lists of compatible cameras. As an alternative, you can ask your Nest Hub to stream it to a TV with Chromecast connected or cast-enabled TV's. Click here to learn more.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi
