YouTube TV thinks I’m in another country

Brucejarrard

YouTube TV won’t play on any devices. Error message is “YouTube TV’s unavailable in your country”. I fixed it on the Apple TV and mobile by going to the YouTube tv app and verifying my location but I keep getting the same error on Nest Hub. There is no way to go into settings on the YouTube tv app within the Nest Hub.

any ideas?

Hi Brucejarrard,

That certainly isn't the experience we want you to have ― let's check it out. To isolate: was it working before the way you want it to? What country are you from? Are you using the same account when you had your YouTube TV and your Google Home app? Are all your devices on the same Wi-Fi network?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes tops.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

You also might want to change your phone's language to EN-US and see what happens. To change your home and work location using your Google Home app, this guide will help you out.

Tell us how it goes.

Best,

Dan
