Nesthub goes to 10 volume when I cast from my phone

When I cast from my phone to my nesthub it seems to default to level 10 (max) volume. Nesthub would be on a lower level as is my phone before casting.Is it possible to stop this default so that I don't get blasted with sound when it connects?
