The only thing that has change is that I connected my nest to my google home app.

A few things: Which news source are you trying to play? What action is added to your routine? Are you getting the same news source when you use voice commands? Could you try these commands and let us know if this works for you?

Listen to news from a specific provider:

"Listen to (the news from) <provider name>"

"Play (the news from) <provider name>"
