Hey im_1111,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let me help you out.

When did it start happening? Was the device dropped or knocked over? Is your device still working?

Could you provide us the cast firmware and software version of your Google Nest Hub? Also, where and when did you purchase it?

Keep us posted!

Best,

Alex

hi Alex,

i didn’t drop it, it is still working except for that black stripe. I also saw two similar post here in this community people got the same issue so i think this can be software or firmware issue. I am mainly using the clock function, it looks bad with the stripe. I don’t remember when it started happening, i sent out this ticket once i noticed it cannot be fixed by rebooting or even factory reset, but i noticed the issue longer before. At first I thought just some app crashed.

Hi nim_1111,

I appreciate all the information that you've sent. After looking into these reports, the team found out that this is more of a hardware issue on the device. Since your device was purchased 2 yrs ago, I'm afraid we will not be able to replace it. Please visit this link for more information about Google's limited warranty.

For more questions and clarification about your device warranty please reach out to us to get immediate support at this link: https://bit.ly/3adTfGB
