I am having a similar issue. Mine is a few years old. A few days ago it kept saying it had an error and gets stuck loading.  Each time I factory reset, it almost registers with Wifi and home network, but fails. Google Home app took me to a help saying it could not register. Solution was to reboot the device, leave unplugged for 10 minutes and then start again. Still no help. Has my Google Hub died?
