"No Default" music or video services- no other options

I have been unable to post to other threads in this forum but felt compelled to share my success with another forum's suggestion. My dad was suddenly having issues with his linked music services, specifically Apple Music. When he would ask his google assistant to play music she would instruct him to link a music service to his home via the Google Home app (which was previously done and music used without issue). Que the frustration when we would attempt to link a music service in settings and see only the "No Default" option selected with no other options or option to deselect. We had already updated the app, and uninstalled and re-installed the app per other suggestions. Another user thread casually mentioned a glitch and recommended checking both the language settings in both the Google home app AND the iPhone settings. BOOM. My dad's Google Home app was set to English (US) and his iPhone was set to English (UK). Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would remedy the issue BUT IT DID. Make sure both languages match in your Google Home app and iPhone settings; in our case making both English (US) solved the issue. When we closed and reopened the Google Home app and returned to the Music Services in settings, there were all of the beautiful music services listed (e.g., Pandora, Apple...). Bless you.

Thank you, this has been so frustrating and my nest is now working again. I can’t tell you how many hours I have spent trying to resolve this.
