"Unable to enable device pairing"

GPS_Pilot

The Google Home app is telling me, "Unable to enable device pairing." Same message reported back in May here:

https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Unable-to-enable-bluetooth-pairing/m-p/...

but the difference is, I'm not trying to create a stereo pair. I'm simply trying to use my Google Home Mini as a (monophonic) bluetooth speaker.

Addition info: if I say "Hey Google: pair," it replies, "Something went wrong, and I can't turn on pairing. Please try again in a bit."

It's been many bits, and I still get this error.

Hi GPS_Pilot,

Thanks for posting.

Having to pair devices via bluetooth is very useful. Let me help you find the solution. A few questions: aside from your Home Mini, what other devices are in question here? Are you trying to connect your Home Mini to your phone via bluetooth or to other bluetooth enabled devices?

Here's a helpful guide that you can follow about bluetooth connection.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Dan
