Can' get DD 5.1 from Amazon Prime Video app

Hello, I'm trying to get Dolby Digital out of my ccwgtv and I can get it out of all the apps except Amazon prime video. Even when I force the settings to do only dolby digital it just defaults to Stereo.

Currently I have it hooked up as so

CCWGTV (Hdmi) > iArk Switcher (toslink) > Denon Avr3200

Currently I know that HBOmax works, my reciever has a little light that signals when DD is active. I know it's not the switcher because my Xbox is hooked through it and the DD works.

Thanks for reaching out. To confirm, have you already tried to configure the audio settings or enabled surround sound directly from the Amazon Prime app? If you haven't yet, please try that. Also, reboot your Chromecast and try to plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV.

How exactly do I access those settings on the Prime Video app?

Hello there,

 

You can try to check it on the app settings or on the video while it is playing. If that option isn't available, please configure it in the Chromecast with Google TV settings and try the other steps I've provided above such as rebooting the Chromecast and plugging it into a different HDMI port on your TV. If the issue persists, please reset your Chromecast with Google TV.
