I’ve recently moved back to Canada from the US and I am now with Bell for internet/tv. Chrome cast will not let me download and install the Bell Fibe app. It says it is not available in my country. I’ve updated my address and payment method. Everything says Canada as far as I can see. Done the factory reset 3 times. Still nothing. What am I missing??

You mentioned having changed your address. Have you changed your Google Play country? That’s what determines the apps you see.

I have. Updated the region, amended payment setting, changed the language settings.. I’ve been flipping through any and all settings I could find and I still can’t download the Bell Fibe app onto the chromecast. I really hate the Bell Streamer “box” and would like to remove the additional peripheral device if possible. Especially for my spouse as there is already too many devices and remotes.

I stand corrected. Perhaps there is a delay. I’ve just finished going through everything I could think of again and did another restart of the Chromecast, it finally allowed me to download and install the Bell Fibe app. I can’t believe how difficult something like this has been for something so silly.

It can take a while to update after changing your Google Play country.
