I have a Sony Projector VPL-VW325ES and the older versions of Chromecast used to work fine. When I installed the latest version of Chromecast, I could never connect or cast anything. I bought the new Google TV streamer hoping that it would solve the problem but I am having the same issue. My Fire TV stick, Roku box and Tivo all work fine with the Sony projector and receiver, it is only the Chromecast and Google TV streamer that do not work. I get a black screen and it continues to try and connect to the streamer.
I had to install the Google TV Streamer on a smalller TV and the install went fine. I made sure to use the same network for the TV, Google Home on my phone (a Pixel 9 Pro XL), and the projector. After the installation finished on the small TV I plugged the Google TV streamer into an HDMI port on our Sony Receiver and tried the projector with no luck. The streamer is connected to the network with wifi and I also tried using an ethernet connection but neither work with the projector. I do not want to make any changes to our Sony receiver or Sony projector since my other devices work perfectly.
Is there a setting in the Google TV streamer that I can change to make it compatible with the Sony products? I am guessing it might be the same problem that I had before when the latest Chromecast never worked with the projector.
Any help wlll be appreciated.

I found the solution. I used Gemini and it recommended changing the resolution in the Google TV Streamer settings. I changed it to 4K 30 Hz and it is working perfectly with the Sony Projector VPL-VW325ES.
