Chromecast stopped streaming Binge or Kayo

Our Chromecast has stopped streaming from Binge or Kayo. Just get a spinning circle then black screen. Our Samsung tv and iPhone devices can still play streams, but I can’t cast to the Chromecast with an error manifest_data_unknown error. Seems to be a fundamental incompatibility between the Chomecast and Kayo/Binge apps. Binge support said they had no idea 🤦‍♂️

Same issue here. Just got new chromecast w/google TV and loading before black screen on Binge. Then continuous spining circle on Kayo. All other apps work fine.

  • Is the same error message appearing on both streaming services?
  • What model of Chromecast do you have?
  • When did the issue start? 
  • Was the last time you streamed Binge or Kayo on your Chromecast successful?
