Hi, i have my "Chromecast with Google TV" connected to my Samsung TV Series 5000 and my Sony htrt 3 (5.1 soundbar) connected via ARC. The TV has only ARC for audio outpout, no optical.
The issue is that Ccwgtv does not downmix DD+ to DD, is that correct ? Im very dissapointed with the product.
The TV delivers 5.1 but only if i run the streaming embbeded apps (which are old versions), so thats kind of weird but i guess those old app versions deliver DDinstead of only DD+ like the recent versions and thas why it works.
For obvious reasons i dont want to use the embbeded apps becasue my TV is slow and the app versions are very old, so they lack features and probably will stop working soon.
Thanks for any help, regards.

Hello @Duffman14,
Thanks for reaching out! You're absolutely right about the importance of downmixing audio. Currently, Chromecast with Google TV (CCWGTV) doesn't downmix Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) to Dolby Digital (DD) for compatibility with older receivers like your Sony HT-RT3.
I understand this limitation can be frustrating, especially since some TV apps seem to work with DD. This is likely because they utilize older versions that utilize DD instead of DD+.
Here's what you can do:
