Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. You mentioned screenshots on the TV. So are you trying to take screenshots on the TV screen using the Chromecast Ultra that is attached to it? The Chromecast devices have no such feature. Your laptop can take screenshots but it only captures what is on its own screen. You may think that it tries to capture what’s on the TV screen but it doesn’t as your Chromecast only tries to cast what shows on your laptop screen to the TV.
As for failing to screenshot movies, it may be related to encryption or content protection. I’ve tried to screenshot a Netflix movie while I’m watching it on my phone but it only showed a black screen. Must be their way of protecting copyrighted contents.
Since this is all happening on the Chrome browser, I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this. Let us know how it goes.
