Google TV Remotes - Constant issues out of the blue now unusable

I have the (apparently not new) issue with one of two remotes I use for my TV.  One of them can do very little and the light blinks while trying.  I have:

1. Changed out the batteries.

2. Dropped and readded the remote (since I have two this was easy).

3. Restart the CCwGTV.

 

Nothing has worked.  Remote still USELESS!

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your voice remote, but thanks for being a step ahead of us.

 

If a restart doesn't work, could you try to do a factory reset on your voice remote and Chromecast and let me know how it goes? Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast voice remote and How to factory reset your Chromecast.

I followed the steps to reset both devices.  Remote #2 now works as well as remote #1.  So issue resolved.
