every time the device reboots, wireless debugging gets turned off and i have to pair and connect again. it's a huge pain particularly since the port numbers to pair and connect also change.

Please fix this so it stays on after a reboot.

Hi tw33k,

Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that your Google TV Streamer 4K is rebooting and wireless debugging gets turned off. I understand how frustrating it is for you to pair and connect the device again every time it happens. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Could you let me know the status of the Google TV Streamer 4K LED light?
  • Is the Google TV Streamer 4K discoverable in the Google Home app?
  • Are you getting any error messages in your Google Home app when you have this inconvenience?
  • Could you please let me know if you're seeing a message on your TV screen and what it says?
  • How far from the router is your Google TV Streamer 4K?
  • Is your Google TV Streamer 4K currently connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in Wi-Fi network or recent outages?
  • What is the make and model of the mobile device you're using to set up your Google TV Streamer 4K?
  • Is the Google TV Streamer 4K firmware updated?
  • Could you please perform an internet speed test while you are streaming a movie with your Google TV Streamer 4K?
  • Could you please double-check if your WiFi network can support the number of devices that are connected?

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

Best regards,

Virna

I'm sorry but none of those questions have anything to do with the issue. It's not a connection issue.
Wireless debugging needs to remain enabled and connected until I disconnect.
