Google tv remote isn’t working

Google remote not working. Turned off tv, disconnected chrome cast device from tv; tried pairing but nothing. Can still chromecast from my phone but remote is dead. Have replaced batteries and still dead. Less than 1 year old. 

Please advise how to fix or how to get replacement FOC

The easiest way to fix Google TV remote not working is to take out the battery of the remote and reinsert it. This will boot up the remote again and it should come up normally after that. You may ignore the update from Google and later on can update to some other latest version. -Take the batteries out of the remote.

Kcampion, how's it going with your Voice Remote? Have you had a chance doing the steps provided by mrsandipchauhan? 

 

If you are still experiencing an issue with your Voice Remote, please try the additional steps listed below:

 

  1. Reinstall the batteries after 5 minutes.
  2. Unpair and reset the Voice Remote, then pair it back:
    a. On the TV interface, go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
    b. Perform a factory data reset (FDR) on the Voice Remote: Remove the batteries for 5 minutes > Hold the Home button while you reinstall the batteries > When the LED starts to blink, release the button.
    c. Pair the Voice Remote again. Refer to Set up Chromecast with Google TV and Voice Remote.
  3. Factory reset the Chromecast device, and factory reset the Voice Remote again.
