I recently moved to Quebec Canada and bought a Google streamer after using the chromecast with Google TV for years.
When I went to add my went to add an account for my child (account managed in family link). It was show up as "this account is not supported".
There also is no option to simply create a local kids profile.
When I plugged in my old Chromecast with Google TV which already had the children profiles loaded things worked fine on that device for a couple days until the accounts disappeared. Now it's the same issue.
Neither the streamer or Chromecast with Google TV will provide me with the ability to add a child/kid s profile. I suspect this is because I am living in Quebec but can't find anything to confirm that and there seem to be a number of older posts on this same issue which don't provide a clear solution.
I have rebooted the devices. Factory reset the devices and cannot get them to allow me to add a kids profile and when try to add the account via the QR code they are listed as "not supported'
This is very frustrating as a parent given individual accounts with time restrictions is what I would consider to be a core function.
