Hi,
When setting up my google chromecast on my GVA tv, GVA is not listed. I read elsewhere that possibly it was rebranded as hisense so tried it however got to the next step where it tells you you should hear music however did not hear anything.
I don’t know which generation it is, it’s brand new and the ‘GoogleChromecast with Google TV - Snow GA01919-AU’.
Any advice?
Thankyou

If it doesn't give you the option to add device during setup, you can proceed further and after you finish the set up procedure, go to Settings - Setup Remote Accessories - Set up remote buttons and select Add device.

Have you enabled HDMI CEC function both on your GVA TV and Google Chromecast?
Is your phone is connected on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi? If it is on 5 GHz, switch to 2.4 GHz.

Thankyou,
HDMI cec is enabled now but no change. My phone is on 5G but there doesn’t appear to be a network to select to make it 2.4ghz - I’m not connecting my phone to it just using the remote so would this make a difference?
thanks

I'm sorry you tagged your post under Chromecast 1st generation, but at the end of your post you said that it's in fact a Google Chromecast with Google TV (the one with the remote).
I suppose you want to setup your chromecast remote buttons to control your TV. Am I right?
If your TV isn't listed automatically under Set up remote buttons sections, click Add device to add it.

Yeah sorry, I didn’t know and couldn’t work it out.
it doesn’t give me an option to add a device just provides a list to select from.
thankyou
