Hola Buenos dias!

Hello @Ori2

Thanks for bringing your concern to our attention and posting it in the community.

I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Chromecast. I understand that you are getting the error message about power; let me help you with that.

Please try the next:

  • Check that your Chromecast with Google TV or Google TV Streamer is plugged into the recommended power adapter. If it's plugged into your TV's USB port or a different adapter, it might not be getting enough power. If a replacement is needed, the recommended adapter spec is 5V/1.5A.
  • Check that the power adapter is plugged into a reliable wall outlet.
  • Check that you're using the correct cable that came with your Google streaming device. Using a different cable might not be supported and could cause the device to get stuck in a reboot loop.
  • Ensure the cable is securely plugged into both the adapter and the streaming device.
  • If necessary, reconnect the cable.
    • Unplug the cable from the streaming device and the adapter. Wait 5 seconds.
    • Plug the cable into the adapter first, then plug it into the streaming device.
  • Avoid using USB Type-C hubs or switches between the streaming device and power adapter, as they can interfere with power delivery.

Let me know how this goes to keep working together and make your device function properly.

Thank you,

Hi Cath. Thank You for Reach out to me.

As i Explain in my message i already try all this things, i think the problem is the Chromecast itself or the HDMI which this transmit. So i need please a contact or someone from argentina to contact me so i can use the garantee that i have until may from 2025.

I don´t know if you can help me with that because if that is not the case i have to again buy a new one which for your information here in argentina is very expensive and is going to be a shame that i have to write a bad comment about your product and go with another brand.

Regards!

Hi jdelosco,

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate the help, @CoolingWizard . Let's work together to find a solution.

I would like to look into additional troubleshooting steps:

Check if there's a physical box attached to your electrical line:

Some utilities install boxes that cut off power during high demand (peak) times. This can cause the error. Check for one of these boxes on your line.

  1. Check your meter (possibly near your air conditioner).
  2. Look for a small box with one or two lights on it (one light is red, the other is usually green).
  3. This box allows the utility company control to cycle your air conditioner off and on during certain peak times of the day.

Also, please check the voltage on the Nest Thermostat:

Collect power readings from your Nest Thermostat following the steps: Settings then Technical Info. If necessary, use a voltmeter if you have one available. Remember, low VOC (Voltage Open Circuit) can diagnose a power problem. The range should be between 29 and 42V.

Please keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Byron
