*If you did a factory reset...

Tra quanto sarà di nuovo funzionante?
03-14-2025 05:35 AM
The steps that follows on your supportpage was to make a factory reset, so of course that is what I did to my chromecast when it stopped working on sunday. I sat there for an hour trying to make it work again, but got so frustrated that the next day I went and bought a new one.
Will we get some kind of refund for this issue?

Hi,

Before you sent this out, I had already reset my device because that’s what your troubleshooting steps suggested amongst other things. What’s the status of the fix?

Problem is?? Your communications are TOO LATE? The first thing people are going to do when troubleshooting is a factory restart???
Why wouldn't it be advised before anything else? The majority of your users would have reset the device.
This issue is affecting what, 500 million purchasers of the video and audio dongles?
This occurred Marxh 9th, according to online info. It is March 14th? Please update your fix and communications to the world so we know whats going on, and asap?!

Hi, I have already reset the second generation Chromecast. In the setup it stops asking to download Google Home, then nothing. If I open Home, create the house, it sees the device but cannot connect it. What can be done? Thanks in advance

Yes. Read the pinned status update at the top of this page.

I can’t select this fix not sure why
03-14-2025 05:51 AM
That a huge firm like Google shouldn’t be able to come up with a fix to an issue that shouldn’t even have happened is incredible. It’s a disaster.

They have come out with a fix. Google started rolling out a firmware update yesterday. See the pinned status update at the top of this page.

Excuses non acceptées.

I can’t connect Chrome to my Wi-Fi either.
The iPhone detects it but doesn’t transmit any content.
Is it related to the issue you reported?
03-14-2025 06:01 AM
Es lo que digo. El iPhone lo detecta pero no se conecta a la red WiFi y así no se como demonios voy a recibir la actualización del Firmware
03-14-2025 06:05 AM
If you've already done a factory reset, this procedure will allow you to reconnect your Chromecast to Wi-Fi so that it will be in a state to receive the upcoming firmware update:
