Screen mirroring won't fill the full screen. NVShield works fine though.

It is adding black band on the top, bottom and left sides.

Notes:

  • It is not the TV aspect ratio or ovescan (And even if I try it stretches the image)

  • Mirroring works fine on the NVShield

Seriously Google, how comes this is not working? A fix for when?

Hi there,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Cast Screen or mirroring via the Google Home App using an Android device doesn’t always occupy the full screen. Depending on the Android device, it is mostly rendering. Different Android devices have different screen sizes that affect the rendering on the destination screen. Casting a cast-enabled app should occupy the full screen of the destination device (TV, monitor, projector, etc.), in contrast to mirroring. Let us know if you still have questions.

Thanks,

Kimy

It's funny that Roku got it right that you can full screen mirror on there no problem
