Selecting which apps to install for kids profiles

Hi! So i tried setting up a profile for one of the kids today, everything went smoothly until i got to the part where i wanted to select which apps they get to use, i found that i do not have access to Play Store to select which apps i want to be available to them and could only select from a very small list of pre-selected apps. 

Is there any way around this? All i want to do is to decide exactly which apps the kid gets to use (the parental control functions are not really important given that the streaming apps themselves are locked down so that the kid can only access their own profile) 

As of now i could not install Max / HBO Max for example, which is a must have app for us.
