The video is not smooth when watching TV online

Hello, since I purchased Chromecast I have noticed that when I watch TV online, the image is not smooth from time to time. We can say that for 0.5 seconds instead of a 60 fps image, 30 fps is shown. I can't explain it any other way. I tested it on two Chromecasts, many Wi-Fi and many TV applications and the problem persists. This is very distracting when watching sports. Please help

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that your Nest Chromecast can't show the video as expected. I understand that this could be frustrating, especially when you watch sports videos, but it's distracting. Help's here.

 

I just want to check some information to isolate your issue. Can you please answer the following:

 

  • Is the device's power-saving mode turned on?
  • How close are the devices to each other?
  • Are the Google Cast devices’ firmware updates?
  • Are there other apps that actively run on the device?
  • When did the problem start?
