I’ve been running into a super frustrating issue with Spotify on my Nest speakers lately. Whenever I say something like “Hey Google, play my Chill Vibes playlist on Spotify”, it either tells me it can’t find it, or it just plays something completely random. Sometimes it’s another playlist with a similar name, other times it’s some random station I’ve never even listened to.
The weird thing is, these playlists are definitely in my Spotify library and have been there for ages. If I open Spotify on my phone and cast them to the speaker, they play perfectly. So it really just seems to be a problem with the voice commands. I’ve already double-checked that Spotify is set as my default music service, and even tried re-linking my account in the Google Home app.
I found a few threads with similar issues, but none of the fixes worked for me. Here are those threads:
Is anyone else running into this? Have you found a reliable fix or at least a decent workaround? Would love some advice before I lose my mind over this.
