beschikbaar voor specifieke videosites

Today I installed my brand new chromecastTVHD

It works fine with my android phone

but casting form chrome browser keeps reporting

beschikbaar voor specifieke videosites

(available for specific video sites)

have tried all suggested options to get rid of the above message.

The only thing I could not do is to change the flag:
Load media Router component extension

 

any solutions or sugestions?

Thanks for reaching out. Please reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router. Also, make sure the Chrome browser is updated and try to cast from a different device.

Hi Jennifer,

Today I did reset the modem. No result
Also to make sure I did log in with a different Google account but still no result.

It runs fine with my samsung galaxy A52

the laptop is an Acer vn7-572G

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.60 GHz 8Gb

Windows 10 version 22H2 build 19045.2251

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you try to uninstall and reinstall the Chrome browser and perform a factory reset on your Chromecast and check if the same issue will persist?

don't be so hasty Princess,

I sent you a reply yesterday stating te factory reset did not work.

After factory reset I installed the chromecast just like the time before using my android samsung phone, and using the app. the installation worked fine even installing the Sony blue tooth speakers was a peace of cake.

however my laptop does not seem to connect properly. even after rebooting .

So my conclusion is that the problem is in the chrome browser I am using. Have switched
of Eset in order to see if it could be a firewall problem but without result.

Could it be caused by a flag within the windows os? Since I do not know what causes the error message
nor what the reason is for it to exist anyway it is difficult for me to search any further,

Hi dop,

 

I'm sorry for the late response. Please reinstall the Chrome browser and reboot your laptop. Also, try to disable and re-enable Automatic date and time and Automatic time zone on your laptop. Using a different computer or laptop might also help.

 

If the issue persists, please download Chrome Canary and try to cast using it.
