can’t mirror from iPhone to chromecast any more

I’ve been using this chromecast on my Sony TV since last year, and I used to have the device on the Screen Mirroring function ( iOS native) to easily cast content from my phone to the TV. In the Google home app there used to be a casting button too. This was working in July 2023. However, recently I noticed that both options don’t work any more. I’ve checked that both devices are in the same network and have reset and updated my phone, my chromecast and my tv to the latest version. 

how can I fix this please? Thanks.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. The casting of cast-enabled apps (YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, etc.) should still function; unfortunately, screen mirroring (cast screen) is not supported for iOS devices. Here are some of the threads related to your concern:

Other users use third-party apps for screen mirroring, although we didn’t see any recommendations from them. Some of these apps may work for the first few days or may require a premium subscription, which is why we don’t recommend them ourselves. Let us know if you still have questions.
