twitch chat no longer available on chromecast

After the most recent Twitch app update, I can no longer open the chat box on the right side of the screen when watching VODs. There seems to just be no option to turn it on. Is it just me, or has this feature been removed? It is severely impacting my enjoyment of both the device and the website.

Thanks for reaching out. You can try to reinstall the Twitch app and reboot your casting device and Chromecast. Resetting the Chromecast device might also help.

If the issue persists and this started to happen when you updated the Twitch app, it would be best to reach out to the app developer for additional help.
