Google home and ambient screensaver

Hi, i’m not sure if anyone has experience with using google photos as ambient screensaver on google TV? As i have difficulty setting it up. Have tried to follow steps like signing into the same google account on both google TV and google home.

On google home, i’m not able to find my TV

Make sure your Google TV and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network and that you’re signed into the same Google account. In Google Home, try adding the device manually or check if it appears under “Linked devices.” If it still doesn’t show, restarting both the TV and the Home app often helps refresh the connection.

Hi, i am connected to the same wifi network and also signed in to same Google account. Had tried to shutdown TV, router and Google Home app, also some troubleshooting methods found online. But afraid still to no avail.

On Google Home, after i select ‘Living Room TV’, when i click on ‘request invitation to manage’ and after clicking ‘send request’, it says ‘Precondition check failed’. Do you know what’s it about?

• Is your device a Google TV Streamer (4K) or a Chromecast with Google TV? The following article might be helpful: Chromecast and Google TV Streamer specifications.
• Besides shutting down the device and router, what other troubleshooting steps have you tried?
• Are you using a standard Gmail.com account, or is it a Google Workspace/Business account? (Personal features like ambient mode often have restrictions on Workspace accounts).
• Are you the original "Admin" of the home in the app, or were you invited as a "member"?
• If you create a "New Home" in the Google Home app as a test and try to add the TV there, does the same error appear?
