Thank you for the info Melba.I suppose I could have the newer AC unit set to a lower temp during the cooling time so the old unit doesn't need to cycle on as much and would inherently pull some of the cooler air from the other side of the house anywa...

I thought so but still a bummer. Syncing like this or other ways to get Nest products to work together to improve efficiency or whatever would seem like a main feature of "smart" equipment. Maybe some day!
