Will the standard Nest thermostat work with the addition of a C wire to
the 2 wire system I have now. One of the 2 wires comes from a 24 VAC
transformer and the other wire routes to the natural gas solenoid that
turns the gas on.
Yes I have. Both Nest and Amazon Smart. Both said not compatible. Nest
listed the 2 more expensive models as acceptable Amazon just said not
compatible. Neither mentioned anything about adding a C wire to make the
Standard Nest or Amazon Smart compat...
