Hello, If you have a gas boiler - some brands run for a few minutes after a period of non demand. This is stop sludge settling in the circulating pump etc. It could just be that.

Apologies, I didn’t read your post correctly. Yes you can. You just need to make sure you have enough room near the manifold for the nest receivers. If not enough space you may have to fit them where you have space. Which will mean additional wiring ...

Yes you can. It will mean all 5 zones though trying to be controlled by the one thermostat. Connect the nest to the first zone at the manifold and then link to other zones.
