Thermostat remains dark; I don't think AC has been running. Don't know if AC or Nest is problem

Thermostat remains dark; I don't think AC has been running (although outside temps have gone down.) I do not know if I am having an AC problem or a thermostat problem. The one on the East side of my house seems to be operating normally.
