Nest Support connected my device and saw it's not linked to my account. Will try a factory reset and see how it goes from there on.

@MplsCustomer , have been googling and indeed saw on several places people reporting the same challenge I'm experiencing. I see both devices through Google Home App under Wifi - Devices. When checking each, they are both on my mesh. It seems all good...
