I just installed a gen 1 thermostat.... but I notice my heat is set to start & end at a specific time? How do I remove this setting?

My heating does not come on in the early a.m particularly. It will periodically come on in mid day or evening g. I've had Hvac technician check my unit 4 times... they find no problem; wiring also check & no issue found. Is there some unknown factor ...
