Ok, I’ve been watching the thermostat for some time now and it is the
anti-legionella feature.

Yes, I get the yellow symbol so it could be anti-legionella thing I
suppose. The boiler does respond if I turn the water on/off or boost it
so all’s we’ll there. I’ll keep a closer eye on it in future to see if
it happens again and how often
Got up this morning at 7:30 to find our hot water is being heated but it
isn’t scheduled to come on until 8am. I’ve checked that the HW schedule
is enabled and it is so why is the water being heated when it shouldn’t
