Mine still held a temp manually without WiFi.

Just the regular Nest customer service number. You have to put in your info first on the support.google.com page, but eventually they’ll give you the number to call. Might take a few tries…

just a follow-up: they called me back and sent me a new one, within one week.

On the original google nest help page there is a contact us possibility. I’m trying it now. Supposed to get a call. We shall see!
