Has anyone installed a 3rd generation with three wires red, white and
black. If so, what are you connecting these wires too on the base? Pics
would help.

photo. The previous thermostat is a Honeywell with a red wire to R
Jumper to RC, white wire to W and a Black wire to Y. I have read these
