same here. not sure why, when i was on the latest Search app, Google
Home app, and the firmware on Google Home. our overlords be mysterious
in their whims and fancies.
i continue to have this problem, especially with the Pixel 6 on
SQ1D.220105.007. surprisingly, my Oppo CPH2095 behaves nicely enough
with the Home, shutting up when Home wakes up, and showing, "Responding
on another device" before going back to sleep...
that doesn't help because if i want to use my phone's Assistant outside,
i have to turn it back on whenever i leave home. same if i want to call
on the Assistant in a room in the house that doesn't have a Nest device.
