I am all set. The key was finding the reset button that does not in any way look like a button.

I was able to identify the reset button next to the QR code. I reset all devices and was able to connect each device while sitting next to each other, then deployed each to their permanent location. Thank you for your help.

I will circle back around to this install tomorrow, but my AC1200 units do not have a reset button, and since my 4th unit will not connect, I can't reset. I will reset all devices tomorrow and post an update.

I get an error indicating the additional access point is unable to be added. When you talk about a factory reset, this means I have to reset the three working devices and start over?

So in summary, after months of postings from many people with the same issue, there is no acknowledgement of an end of life battery problem and no hint of a solution. Do I have this right?
