Home Android App crashes on start

Hello,

I have a chromecast v2 and since I formatted my phone, I can't use google home app. It crashes immediately. I see the first screen 1 second and it crashes.

I tried to clear data on Google app. But it didn't work. I can cast from app like YouTube or Netflix.

 

My phone is a Meizu 16th Android 8.1

 

What I can do to fix this issue please?

Hello Garret,

Yes, I still need help.

- I tried to reinstall the home application

- I tried to clear the data app

- I tried to clear the data from "google" application

 

But Home app still crashes on start.

Sorry to hear that you're still having issues with this. 

I appreciate you letting us know what troubleshooting steps you've taken, but would you mind going through the following steps as well:

 

  1. Launch Android Settings app
  2. Go to Apps & notifications
  3. Tap “See all apps”
  4. Find and tap Google from the app list (or you can use the search button on the top right corner to search for “google”)
  5. Tap Storage & cache
  6. Tap “Clear storage” or “Manage space”
  7. Tap Clear All Data and Ok to confirm
