How do I change my Google Nest Community username?

I saw a previous post response by @David_K that says;

  1. Click your avatar at the top right > My settings
  2. Enter your desired username in the Username box
  3. Click Change Username

But I don't have/see a username box when I click on My settings to change it.

Thanks

Hi @decox

Try this--

Click on your avatar

Choose "My Profile" then on that page & find the words My Settings under your info.  Click on that My Settings to open the text box . That is where you change your community name.

Let me or David know if these steps help!

Following the instructions above, the resulting page from clicking "My Settings" does not offer any text box.  You are presented with tabbed settings for Personal, Preferences, Avatars, Taggings, Macros and Subscriptions/Notifications, most of which have sub-menus, but none of these have a place to change username.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your help here, @JillG

@decox, @Anonymous, I want to follow up if you were able to get your Google Nest Community username changed. When you tap on My Settings, you should see Personal and under that shows Username which you can edit to a new one.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,
Lovely
