Kumo Cloud Integration

I have Mitsubishi mini-split HVAC units that use Kumo Cloud. I'm trying to integrate with Google Home. I know that is supported at some level. Here is my specific question: Can I use Home & Away routines to change the temperature settings in the Kumo Cloud app? I want to mimic the home and away functionality that a Nest Thermostat has but using Home & Away Routines with Kumo Cloud for the Mitsubishi units. I have Nest E thermostats which control my main heating system (but cannot control the Mitsubishi units). Anyone have any experience with Kumo Cloud and Home?

Yes, I am very interested in how deep the integration is for Kumo Cloud within Google Home. I've scoured the web, but can't find any details other than  Home supports Kumo Cloud. 

Specifically if I can create Home and Away routines for my Kumo enabled Mitsubishi mini split air conditioning units.

I have 5 units and the Kumo Cloud wireless hardware is $300 each. So i'd like to know what the capabilities are before investing $1500. I'm already using Home as my automation platform, so I want to continue to use it as the front end to the Kumo system.

I'm in a similar situation. My home has 4 nest-controlled heating/cooling zones and now I have a Mitsubishi split unit. I'm evaluating whether to use Mitsubishi's 'thermostat interface' which is a piece of hardware that would allow me to install a standard nest thermostat. This option may cause some functionality loss (mainly vane direction, etc), but would allow single-system integration.  The other option is to use the kumo app and integrate with google home. However, since I also have data tracking APIs to the nest/google units (for historical data analysis), it seems the kumo option may cause a problem with this, even if it allows me to control the unit via the nest interface.

In case you haven't seen this, here is some good info for the thermostat interface. Seems like that may be the best solution for Nest/Google automation.

The FAQ states that you can't use the wireless remote with interface, but I'm going to see if I can contact Mitsubishi support and ask how you would control louver, i-see, etc. settings. The settings not controlled by the interface.

Although I could still use the help, I don't think that anyone in the Community has experience with Kumo Cloud.

I've looked at the thermostat interface as well to connect it to my existing Nest (controls base board hydronic heating) or its own Nest. Some potential road blocks I found for my scenario:

1) Biggest: wiring from Mitsubishi to the Nest

2) It seems the remote either doesn't work at all or in only some limited capacity when the thermostat interface is used. So its unclear from my research how to tweak settings not supported by the Nest, ie louvers, fan speed, i-see, etc. 

3) Probably my 2nd biggest concern is how much of the efficiency of the Mitsubishi system you may lose by connecting the unit to a single stage thermostat (I have a Nest E). I could not find any information about that in reviews and manuals.

If I could find some evidence that #3 is not a concern, I would bite the bullet to overcome #1. It would seem to be the least expensive and most likely to be successful solution. I already am using Home, Kasa, MyQ, Wyze, and FanSync. I'd prefer not add yet another automation platform.

I did read some reviews that said the thermostat interface works well.
