Sold my business, How do I transfer my Nest account to a new owner,

JMeeder

I sold a commercial building that has 7 thermostats and 3 smoke detectors.    The thermostats are set up with schedules and are running well in the current tenant's spaces. (owner manages the thermostats).     The new owner and I do not want to have to delete and reset to factory settings, and set up the schedules again.

Is there a way I can just transfer or assign my NEST account to the new owners?

Thank you for your your assistance.

The only way I know of would be to give them the Google account it is attached to. Unfortunately there is no way to elevate a "family member" to owner and then delete the old owner.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for assisting, @kiltguy2112.

@JMeeder, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. In addition to what was said by kiltguy2112, to give the new owner full access to the Nest Thermostat, including the Nest Protect. Resetting the Account Connection would be required; this will permanently delete your account and allow them to add the devices to their own. However, settings such as the temperature schedule would be removed, so they may need to create their own preferences.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

Regards,

Mark
