Hey everyone,

Halloween is only a few weeks away and it’s never too early to get into the festive spirit. Starting today, change your Nest Doorbell ringtone to the Halloween theme and greet your guests with an evil laugh, skeleton dance, spooky raven, boooo ghost, howling werewolf, cackling witch, and more. These ringtones are available globally on the Nest Doorbell (wired) and Nest Doorbell (battery) until November 1st, with no Nest Aware subscription required.

Additionally, when someone’s at your door, your Nest Doorbell will play a Halloween ringtone on your Nest speakers and display devices to announce their arrival. Your Nest display devices will also automatically show the doorbell’s feed.

You can turn on the Halloween ringtones theme  in the Nest Doorbell (battery) settings in the Google Home App or in the Nest Doorbell (wired) settings in the Nest App. After Halloween, your doorbell will automatically go back to the default tone, and the seasonal theme will disappear in the app. Learn how to turn on seasonal ringtones here.

More ways to enjoy some happy haunting

The chills and thrills doesn’t stop there, there are lots of fun ways for your Google Nest devices to help get into the Halloween spirit:

  • "Hey Google, let's get spooky." Say this command to one of your Google Nest speakers or displays and your device will start an hour-long playlist of “spooktacular” sounds and music to greet your trick-or-treaters or party guests.
  • Protect your home from Mischief Night. The new Nest Cams and Doorbell have intelligent alerts that notify you about the things that matter most, like when someone is stealing the bowl of candy you left on your front porch, or if you have TP’ers in the front lawn.
  • Looking for some game night fun? Just say, "Hey Google, tell me a Halloween riddle," on your Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max to enter a Riddle Room adventure, now with a spooky twist.
  • Excited to partake in Halloween activity? Google is here to help. “Hey Google, show me how to carve a pumpkin on YouTube” on your Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max.
  • Enjoy your favorite scary movie. Use Chromecast with Google TV to cast your favorite scary movie to your TV (media content subscriptions may be required). Just say, “Show me scary movies”.

And that’s not all! We’ll introduce other seasonal ringtones starting November 1st for Thanksgiving (US only) and in December for the Holidays to help you keep your Nest Doorbell ringtones festive.

Google Nest Speakers & Displays requires a Wi-Fi network, a nearby electrical outlet, and a compatible (Android, iOS) mobile device. Minimum OS requirements are available at g.co/home/req. iOS is a trademark of Cisco and is used under license.

I'm not seeing the new holiday theme.  Is anyone else?  I'm in the google home app and selected my doorbell and then the GEAR icon and I don't see anything about ringtone themes or holiday themes.  Am I missing something?

I'm on my Google Home app looking at my Doorbell (Battery) and clicking on the gear icon and I do not see any settings for this.  What am I missing?

Just got the new nest doorbell (wired) and I don’t see the theme either. $200 spent well. 🙄
